The project I am working on consists of multiple designs. Does a patent for each different shape have to be filed even though they all have only one intention?
ANSWER
If you're filing a US design patent application, you can have more than one embodiment that has significant common features throughout the embodiments. International design patent applications can have many different designs in one application.

With more embodiments, are there additional fees associated with that?

Yes, in an international application, there is a nominal additional fee if the page count exceeds a certain limit, but relatively insignificant. For a US design application, there is no additional fee for additional related embodiments.
