Q. Trying to decide if I can get a patent on my device and need to know this. The device I'm working on can be used in devices by different manufacturers to make them safer. The thing is that each device by different manufacturers has different way that it has to be modified, almost to the point of being a totally new device although they perform exactly the same function with each device.
