How can someone contest the contents of a Patent?
ANSWER
Well, you may not be able to contest the contents of a patent (although if subject to copyright, you may be able to do so), there are many ways to contest the scope of the claims granted to someone. Examples are by filing a protest, by filing an opposition, by filing a nullity action, or by filing a declaratory judgment action. Possibly, simply confronting the patent holder with prior art that you know to be relevant will have the desired effect. This is a complicated, fact dependent question which requires the attention of a patent attorney, so consider approaching a patent firm with this question.

Dr Patentsteins' Tips
When you think you might have an invention with sales potential, immediately discuss the idea with a registered patent practitioner | Ensure you sketch all significant elements of your invention on paper, writing as much detail and comments regarding its' operation | After creating any descriptions or sketching your invention, ensure a witness (or even two) sign the paper to support your claim |
