When filing a priority application in one country, can subsequent filings in other countries (while claiming priority date of first filing) be any
different from first filing at all? I filed in US first for an invention. Later I found a tiny
improvement. Can i add that improvement and file in Japan while claiming priority date for US filing?
ANSWER
Yes, you can, so long as you file the other applications within one year of your earliest claimed priority date. In fact, you can add all the improvements you care to. Let us know if we can help you.

Dr Patentsteins' Tips
When you think you might have an invention with sales potential, immediately discuss the idea with a registered patent practitioner | Ensure you sketch all significant elements of your invention on paper, writing as much detail and comments regarding its' operation | After creating any descriptions or sketching your invention, ensure a witness (or even two) sign the paper to support your claim |
